Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas (INEN)

Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas (INEN) is an executor of the Public Health sector, specializing in the prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of people affected by cancer or neoplastic diseases. This prestigious institution was established in 1939 and at that point it focused on primordial prevention and social assistance for cancer control for their hospital and as outpatients. It was a center of higher educational and university students learning about cancer control. INEN's mission is to protect, promote, and ensure the prevention of cancer patient care, with priority to persons of limited economic resources and control, technical and administrative services at the national level health of the neoplastic diseases, and conducting research and teaching. In 1945, INEN was accepted as full UICC member.
