The ICCP Portal is a one-stop shop for cancer prevention and control planning. It hosts selected resources on cancer control liketoolkits, multimedia campaigns or background data.
The Cancer Café’s main targets focus on four thematic areas: provision of an efficient and effective information hub that links patients and their caregivers with the relevant healthcare providers - whether main stream medical practitioners or complimentary therapies like nutrition, exercise, and psychosocial support, grooming to uplift morale or palliative care; seeking out information from various avenues and collating these into an information base that will assist patients, survivors, caretakers and healthcare providers have a well-informed supportive circuit leading to an easier and smoother treatment journey with minimal side effects and a better quality of life, even with the expected side effects of treatment; creating economic empowerment hubs within communities of cancer survivors, patients and their caregivers to help them learn skills that will assist in alleviating the economic burden of treatment and help them become financially independent once again; involvement in research and policy change through monitoring, evaluation and research (MER) that will assist in the generation and analysis of data to help in management of cancer within the East African region.
