Seminar on "TOBACCO KILLS" on 31st May 2010 at Mysore City, Karnataka, India

Sunday, May 30, 2010 to Monday, May 31, 2010

Mysore Grahakara Parishath, Institution of engineers, Mysore Chapter and Sri Vasanthkumar Mysoremath, Convenor, Anti-Tobacco Forum have organised a Seminar on TOBACCO KILLS and "Release of a Booklet" at 5 PM on 31-5-2010-"World No tobacco Day".

The seminar on TOBACCO KILLS is followed by a live debate on how to establish a Zero Tobacco World since its usage if affecting the meager income of the poorest of the poor. One of the important reasons attributed is that these killer products are available in every nook and corner of the world, whereas, the policy makers and governments have failed to supply minimum quantity of bacteria free water to their populace. Almost 8 million deaths are reported to be occurring in the world due to diseases associated with consumption of tobacco products.

The anti-tobacco voice must become a people's movement to end the menace of tobacco products. Policy makers must on a crash basis help farmers to stop growing tobacco for the sake of a few dollars more without understanding that 1 kilogram of tobacco can cause cancer to hundreds of people.
