UICC’s regional series of Virtual Dialogues are opportunities for UICC members and the cancer community, including cancer societies, research and cancer centres, professional associations, ministries of health and patient support groups.
This regional gathering offers the opportunity to hear expert insights from the UICC network in North America on how to engage in sustainable global cancer control activities. This interactive session aims to connect you with peers and provides a platform for discussion on best practices from a growing number of global health initiatives and partnerships driven by organisations in the US and Canada. It will allow you to share experiences and reflect on how to best collaborate and leverage innovative approaches for developing global health activities.
You will also hear about how to get involved in UICC activities, including at the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit on “Driving innovation to advance cancer control equitably” taking place on 25th-26th October in Boston, USA, and around the world virtually.
The Virtual Dialogue will be 90 minutes and will combine short presentations and interactions:
Cary Adams, Union for International Cancer Control
Dan Milner, American Society for Clinical Pathology
Pat Garcia-Gonzalez, The Max Foundation
Sudha Sivaram, Center for Global Health - US National Cancer Institute
Natalie Fitzgerald, Canadian Partnership Against Cancer
