Micro-course: Cancer and Ageing - The facts, care models and policies

Cancer and Ageing - The facts, care models and policies

Course description

Virtually every region and country in the world is experiencing an epidemiological transition characterised by increasing life expectancy and population ageing. Preparing for population ageing through the creation of strong and resilient health systems that can provide care which includes geriatric principles is essential to ensure future progress and development.

Dr Enrique Soto, Researcher in Medical Sciences, Department of Geriatrics, Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán

This course is led by Dr Enrique Soto-Pérez-de-Celis, a geriatric oncologist and researcher in the Department of Geriatrics at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán in Mexico City and a UICC Young Leader, cohort 2021-22.

Listen to Dr Soto-Pérez-de-Celis speaking about why caring for older adults with cancer is a topic that concerns everyone, in UICC's "Let's Talk Cancer" podcast.
