In efforts to raise awareness in the Jordanian public and the region about cancer prevention, KHCC pledged to collect 1,500 signatures for the World Cancer Declaration. In explaining the 11 targets that UICC has set forth in order to lessen the cancer burden globally by 2010, KHCC is highlighting the control and prevention efforts done locally. With the newly established Cancer Control office at KHCC spearheading national effort on control and prevention, this aligns well with the global effort set forth by the UICC.
