World Cancer Day.
WORLD CANCER DAY- 4th feb 2012 By IFMSA-Peshawar LC
For a week before 4th:-
IFMSA members carrying donation boxes walk all around the college asking for donations to treat and help cancer patients. Students are urged to pay generously. This money will be given to IRNUM on 4th February 2012
On 3rd Feb:-
Tables will be set in the lawn, with charts and paints. Students will dip their hands in paints and stamp it on the huge charts poster that is made, and tie a purple ribbon representing general cancer awareness in the middle.
This poster will be displayed in college on 4th February 2012
ON 4th Feb:-
1:- Purple clothes and ribbons:-
Students are urged to wear purple color representing general cancer awareness. Plus ribbons will be given to every student to pin on their clothes in order to show their support and create a feel of cancer day.
2:- Posters displayed:-
Posters containing slogans against cancer, and its prevention will be displayed all around the college to create awareness about some of the causes of cancer.
3:- Seminar in IRNUM:-
IRNUM has arranged a cancer awareness seminar, and has invited all of Khyber Medical College to attend it. It will be a good way of creating awareness about the statistics and causes of cancer in Pakistan.
4:- Cancer awareness walk:-
Around the end of the day, everyone will take up banners and slogan's posters, and do a peaceful walk around the college and outside, to show general support to cancer patients.
IN THE COMING WEEK:-
IFMSA in collaboration with IRNUM will arrange a seminar on general cancer awareness, inside the grounds of Khyber Medical College. This will prove to be the best way to gain information and create awareness among the student body, by some expert oncologists.
