Regional engagement

With more than 1’050 members from 166 countries having different organisational models, at different stages of development and strength, in different contexts and cultures, UICC recognises that all members have a unique combination of challenges and needs.

In order to better tailor its capacity building activities to respond to the needs of its members, UICC developed a regional approach to adapt, facilitate access and develop key activities for the cancer control community in the regions.

The regional capacity building team works in close collaboration with UICC Members to:

  • Adapt our capacity building offer based on our network of experts at the country level to ensure that our opportunities are relevant, responsive and address the needs of our members across the regions;
  • Access, through targeted promotion & actions, overcoming language and other barriers, to ensure that opportunities are accessible to members in all regions in appropriate languages;
  • Develop new activities at the regional level based on needs to target and deliver the right capacity building activities for the right region.

The regional capacity building team is here to help you navigate our offer (leadership development, education and training, fellowships and grants, and other opportunities). See what’s happening in your region:
