WHO FCTC Treaty and Cancer Control Training

This awareness campaign is designed to bring together parliamentarians of the Ondo State House of Assembly, for prompt education on the Tobacco Control Treaty and the World Cancer Declaration.

The project also aims to engage law makers in a strategy planning process, which will lay the foundation for a broader and more effective State tobacco and cancer control movement in Nigeria.

Organisation
Campaign for Tobacco Free Youths Nigeria (CTFY) develop advocacy campaigns on tobacco control in Nigeria, including:

  • Ondo State Smoke Out Day event
  • Training of Akure South Local Government Health workers on effective tobacco control advocacy programmes
  • Awareness raising workshops on tobacco control among parliamentarians sponsored by the Norwegian Cancer Society through the Framework Convention Alliance.
