Chinese Anti-Cancer Association

14 local anti-cancer associations, 20 hospitals and 47 institutes organised various activities in their regions: cancer survivors gave a public performance, lectures and free consultations were given to people.

Prof. HAO Xishan, President of the CACA, Prof. ZHANG Guangchao, General Secretary and Prof. ZHI Xiuyi, Director of Science Popularisation Department gave interviews to websites. Thousands of netizens watched the videos through internet on World Cancer Day. Dr. Zhang introduced how the risk of developing cancer can significantly be reduced through simple measures under the slogan of “Cancer can be prevented too”.

Nearly two hundreds oncologists participated in World Cancer Day 2010. Over 15,000 flyers were sent out. Around 5,000 people benefited from free lectures and diagnosis.
