Cervical cancer awareness - Moldova
The implementation of an innovative HPV vaccine has been challenging in Moldova due to the professional incompetence of medical providers, as well as fear and distrust of the vaccination. In collaboration with UICC, RHTC aims to raise awareness on cervical cancer prevention and the importance of the HPV vaccination.
Project Objectives
- Raise awareness of the HPV vaccination as one of the most important measures for cervical cancer prevention.
- Raise awareness among medical providers about the importance of cervical cancer screenings and the HPV vaccination.
- Improve coverage of HPV vaccination for girls aged 9-13.
Organisation
The "Reproductive Health Training Center” from the Republic of Moldova is a non-profit and non-governmental Organization. The Center cooperates with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University "Nicolae Testemitanu" with Municipal Clinic Hospital N1, the Republican Center of Reproductive Health, with national and international NGO related to youth and women’s issues. The Reproductive Health Training Center is the member of an European organization network operating in the field of rights and sexual and reproductive health.
