Pratheeksha - World Cancer Day Events
'Pratheeksha ' is an organization created by the Cancer survivors in Kozhikode, Kerala.This organization took inception in 2003 at Kozhikode.
Pratheeksha have organized various programs in association with World Cancer Day on February 4th 2011.The schedule of the programs are:
7.30 AM -8 AM -Talk by Dr.Narayanankutty Warrier in 'Pularkalam' a TV show in Manorama News Channel.
9 AM-11 AM -Seminar on 'Diet in Cancer' at MIMS Hospital, Calicut
11 Am-12 Noon -Talk by Dr.Narayanankutty Warrier and Dr.Roshanara Ashraf in 'Cancer Awareness Program' conducted by Grihalakshmi-Vanitha magazine at Azhakodi Mini Hall
2.30PM-3 PM -Talk by Dr.Narayanankutty Warrier about 'Cancer-causes and Prevention' in All India Radio.
3.30 PM-5 PM -A street play-'Cancer can be prevented' by the MSW students of Devagiri College conducted in Medical College ,New Busstand and Kidson Corner.
6.30 PM -'Snehajwala'-lighting of lamp by the cancer survivors and 'World cancer day message' by Dr.Narayanankutty Warrier.
