• A press conference was held on January 15-20 to announce Prevention Week and promote its objectives with over 200 Polish journalists attending.
• Cervical cancer petition promotion in Poland. An internet campaign is going to be organised to promote the STOP Cervical Cancer Petition and a banner promoting the petition will be placed on the Kwiat Kobiecosci website.
• The European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week will be held in 3 main top locations (shopping centres)in Warsaw.
• There will be volunteers, doctors and nurses involved in our action, so women will have a chance to receive professional consultations and help. As well, actors and well know public people agreed to be our ambassadors for the week and help us to promote the event.
• Kwiat Kobiecości, will launch a free cervical cancer telephone hotline and email information service to answer questions from the general public. Kwiat Kobiecości also launched a cervical cancer internet forum staffed by medical experts.
• Cervical cancer informational brochures will print and distribute through health centres and medical clinics across Poland.
• Extensive media coverage about the Prevention Week was achieved including a full-page feature on cervical cancer prevention in the main media resources in Poland. More than 40 Polish websites covered the Prevention Week actions.
