Passing of Professor Jean Lemerle

UICC is sad to hear of the passing of Professor Jean Lemerle. Prof Lemerle was one of the founders of the International Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) and the founder of the Franco- African Group of Paediatric Oncology (GFAOP).

Professor Lemerle was also a member of the My Child Matters Steering Committee and has provided invaluable input into childhood cancer projects taking place in different countries. Professor Lemerle was a leading figure in the world of paediatric oncology and has dedicated his life to care, teaching and research. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and students.
