UICC recognises the importance of engaging with partners across the global health community and believe partnership is fundamental to achieving high-impact results. In 2010, UICC launched “Together we are Stronger”, a major new campaign to support priority programmes that benefit the global cancer community. We work in close partnership with our members and various corporations through our Champions Programme, which is defined by four levels: Patrons, Vanguards, Benefactors and Partners. Our supporters provide expertise and resources to enable us to move quickly forward with the most urgent activities in our priority programmes and advocacy.

Driven by a dedicated group of volunteers, the campaign has made a fast and positive start. To date, US$14 million has been secured from nearly 40 leading member organisations, corporations and foundations, enabling UICC to drive action on global advocacy, and lead specific programme work - such as making pain medication available in countries that need it most. This group has pledged expertise, as well as a significant financial investment to ensure the success of the campaign priority programmes. Working together, we aim to make a tangible impact across the cancer community.
