Support for UICC members’ World Cancer Day plans

World Cancer Day on 4 February is an opportunity for UICC members to be part of a growing, global movement that is inspiring collective action around cancer control.

Tools and materials that you asked for

In 2018, we’re hoping to make it even easier for supporters to get involved in the campaign; offering more user-friendly web tools, updated toolkits packed with inspirational case studies, and more materials that you asked for - in more languages, and in more dynamic formats, including gifs and videos.

For example, the popular custom poster tool is now available in four languages, and provides the option of creating a custom poster in a social media friendly format that’s easier to share.

The Map of Impact for instance, now lets you edit your activity details once it has been published to the website.

Dedicated YouTube channel

As World Cancer Day continues to grow and increase its reach, we’re witnessing more and more incredible and inspiring content being shared. That’s why we wanted one place to easily view, share and search for all the World Cancer Day-related videos. We’ll be adding more videos to the channel over the coming weeks and months, so make sure to subscribe. And, if you have created your own World Cancer Day video for YouTube, share your link and we’ll include them in our official playlist.

Getting all your questions answered

Starting November, we will be switching on the live online chat feature on the website, making it faster and easier to get in touch with one of the team for all your World Cancer Day questions. But until then, we have produced an extensive FAQ section on our website for quick reference - and you can always get in contact at info@worldcancerday.org, or leave us a message on Facebook

Staying updated

Subscribers to the World Cancer Day e-newsletter receive monthly updates and news announcements, including new materials, tips on getting involved as well as highlights of the activities and events organised by members and supporters. To receive the monthly e-blast, subscribe via the website at: worldcancerday.org/#newsletter

Planning support

Between now and December, the UICC team will be individually reaching out to our members to provide an update on what we have planned for World Cancer Day 2018, and see how we can best support our members’ involvement.
