International Breast Cancer Symposium (IBCS) 2017

When: 9-11 July 2017
Where: Hue, Vietnam, Indochine Palace

This Symposium is organised thanks to the support of UICC member Breast Cancer Society of Hue, the Hue Central Hospital and the Hue University of Medicine & Pharmacy, as well as the consent of the chairman of the provincial People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue and collaboration with Global Focus on Cancer (GFC). The conference is meant to disseminate the latest knowledge and information surrounding the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, support for breast cancer patients, and specific information from the 2016 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.

International Conference on Cancer Nursing (ICCN) 2017

ICCN is the longest running international conference for nursing and offers a unique opportunity to meet with international cancer nursing leaders from around the world, in one place, at one time. South East Asia Breast Cancer Symposium (SEABCS) 2017

When: 14-16 July 2017
Where: Yangon, Myanmar

The 2nd South East Asia Breast Cancer Symposium will be held by UICC full members Shwe Yaung Hnin Si Cancer foundation and Myanmar Oncology Society, together with the Myanmar Ministry of Sports and Health, Breast Surgery International and the Global Focus on Cancer. This event will mainly focus on breast cancer; in order to explore the challenges and specific opportunities for early detection, driving optimal care delivery, supporting survival and quality of life of women in South East Asia Region.

Multidisciplinary Cancer Forum | Foro Multidisciplinario sobre Cáncer - El Cáncer es responsabilidad de todos

Where: Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Argentine League Against Cancer (LALCEC), UICC full member, will be holding this Forum to analyse cancer horizontally and as a societal issue, addressing the matter from diverse perspectives. Through discussion tables of the most relevant leaders in politics, media, religion, education, and economy among others, each speaker will be able to discuss what their sector is or isn’t doing in terms of the illness, and what should occur ideally. Under the concept of "Cancer is everyone's responsibility" it is an event that, due to its characteristics and methodology to address the problem, is a milestone worldwide. The keynote speaker at the Forum last year was Mr. Tabaré Vázquez, president of Uruguay who shared his country's experience regarding tobacco and lung cancer. This year, in addition to President Vazquez and other significant regional and international representatives, the keynote speaker will be Her Royal Highness Princess Dina Mired of Jordan, who is the President-elect of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

Rio de Janeiro Forum on Child Cancer

When: 18-20 September 2017
Where: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

UICC's new member, Desiderata Institute, is organising the Rio de Janeiro Forum on Child Cancer from 18–20 September at the Auditório da Bolsa de Valores do Rio (Auditorium of the Rio de Janeiro Stock Exchange). This Forum is held every two years.

Around 300 people will attend, including managers, health professionals, national and international cancer specialists, and civil institutions.  There will be short courses, discussions and debates, all aimed at helping redefine and implement public policies that will guarantee early diagnosis of child cancer as well as fast access to high-quality treatment.

4th Brazilian Congress - Together against Cancer

When: 26-28 September 2017
Where: Sao Paulo, Brazil

UICC full member ABRALE is organising this annual congress which is part of the Todos Juntos Contra o Cancer (TJCC) movement. The goal of this movement is to gather all the oncology network to debate around and to align themselves with the National Policy of Cancer Prevention and Control. It is already a reference in the Brazilian Oncology area and allows mapping the demands and discussions of group proposals for improvements in the system. For this edition, around 3.500 delegates are expected with 130 speakers in 25 panel discussions.

3rd International Conference in ImmunoOncology

When: 11-13 October 2017
Where: San Diego, California, USA

UICC full member and partner Centro de Investigación de Cancer en Sonora (CICS Sonora), Sonora Cancer Research Center, is organising the International Conference together with other stakeholders as Oncologia Molecular Avanzada, Georgia Cancer Center, Lawson Health Research Institute, Roswell Park Cancer Institute or University of Maryland. The aim to address the underexplored facets of Immuno-oncology by showcasing clinically relevant Immuno-oncology researches to foster purposeful collaborations towards better lives for patients.
