Joining Forces Accelerating Progress at the 2014 World Cancer Congress

We are counting on you!

Members are encouraged to help us build a top quality programme for the 2014 World Cancer Congress by submitting session proposals before 3rd May. Your expertise and ideas are needed to shape a programme highlighting collaboration, interactivity and innovative thinking.

SUBMIT YOUR SESSION PROPOSAL NOW

All the session proposals will be reviewed by the Programme Committee of the Congress, a team of ten experts responsible for putting together the programme.
We are confident that the Congress will be truly memorable for our members. We have used your feedback to shape the event: delegates will have extensive networking and meeting opportunities; sessions will promote greater interactivity between presenters and delegates; and, for the first time, we will have an entire track to showcase how UICC members have used filming and advertising to educate and influence the general public. An App will help delegates navigate their way through the Congress and reach out to contacts.

The 2014 World Cancer Congress will be hosted by UICC member Cancer Council Australia and will take place in Melbourne on 3-6 December 2014. This is a truly international event which brings together a unique group of people who have much in common.

Advocacy

UICC plans to have a strong presence at the WHA, representing members, both as observers in the Member State discussions and through a series of side events to draw attention to NCD and cancer-specific issues.

World Cancer Day 2013 Results

On 4 February 2013, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) marked World Cancer Day together with its partners and you, our members. We now have some key statistics to share about this past edition which was a huge success.

Fellowships

Call for Proposals now open! We look forward to receiving your proposals for the 2013 Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial International Cancer Study Grants, supported by UICC Japan National Committee and Kyowa.
