"The new frontiers in cancer control: an overall view"
The new frontiers in cancer control: an overall view” aims to give a wide overview on the state of the art of cancer control and on the future perspectives, focussed on the different oncological fields. It represents an opportunity of meeting and exchanging for medical doctors, researchers and experts and, at the same time, an occasion for the audience to be updated on the heterogeneous and multidisciplinary scientific effort in the fight against cancer. In 2005 the “Edo ed Elvo Tempia Valenta” Foundation ONLUS, was created. It works alongside the “Fondo Edo Tempia” for the fight against cancer, founded in 1981 by Elvo Tempia, in order to develop research programmes both for the treatment and prevention of cancer. The “Edo ed Elvo Tempia Valenta” Foundation work with the Local Health Services, Universities and Research Centers, in order to support and improve the oncological programmes of the Piedmont Region. It carries out social activities in the field of assistence, looking after and preserving human health in the area of oncology.
