NCI World cancer day event for Thailand
NCI (Thailand) in collaboration with the cancer society of Thailand will organise a World Cancer Day event on Feb 3-4, 2012.
On Friday the 3rd, an exhibition of the world cancer day theme will be provided in the Rama Garden Hotel, together with a seminar on different aspects of cancer prevention by experts in the field. The opening ceremony will include a speech by the minister of public health. It is expected that about 350 persons, including village health volunteers, will participate.
On the actual day, Saturday the 4th, the event will be held at the NCI to allow interactions with patients and their families. We will also send information about world cancer day and cancer prevention to the press, so that newspapers can contribute to awareness of cancer day.
