As Cancer volunteers trained by the Cancer Association of South Africa, we have been equipped in patient care, visiting them 3 times a week at one of the leading hospitals in JHB. During these visits, we are requested to offer more than emotional support but also necessary information to patients and families about the disease and treatment, assisting them in their journey. We offer, from time to time, talks about the various types of cancer bringing awareness on the merit of early prevention. Further, we host our own Cancer Support Group for cancer patients and families every other Tuesday of the month.
