Unidad Nacional para el Control del Cáncer manages the logistic support of resources (human, immovable, equipment, consumptions, financial, etc.) for the population and cancer patients. It updates programs and existing cancer control actions, develops actions for the improvement of health management (promotion, education, care and rehabilitation), develops new ways of improving the quality of the protocols of Oncología, evaluates and monitors the programs according to quality indicators, develops the investigation of cancer in the areas of greater incidence and mortality in the country.

Unidad Nacional para el Control del Cáncer became a full UICC member in May 2009.
