Sociedad Paraguaya de Cirugia Oncologica is dedicated to the promotion of scientific activities and training of general medical doctors and oncologists.

The organization focuses on the publication of journals, providing continuing education in oncology, and education in cancer prevention.

The Paraguayan Society of Surgical Oncology became associate UICC member in March 2009.
