Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia`s (PCFA) mission is to reduce the impact of prostate cancer on Australian families through helping men deal with the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, funding research into prostate cancer and raising awareness about prostate cancer in the community. The PCFA also supports a network of over 100 support groups across Australia. These groups meet either monthly or quarterly and provide support and information for men and their families dealing with prostate cancer. Its campaign "Be a man" has a good impact on community awareness of prostate cancer. PCFA together with National Medical Research Council awards grants for research and co-finance with Cancer Australia Research Fellowships to reduce the impact of cancer in the community and to improve outcomes for people affected with cancer. PCFA was admitted as a member of UICC in February 2007.
UICC is comprised of a wealth and variety of members
