Ministère de la Santé - Luxembourg
National measures of prevention and health promotion, initiated by the Ministry of Health, most often come from prevention programmes / health promotion by WHO and the European Union. WHO prepared the general framework of the policy The Strategy of Health. Together with other international documents, (Ottawa Charter ff) they list defining strategies for health promotion and these texts form the basis of the public health approach in general, and health promotion in a specific way in our country.
The overall aim is to enable everyone to achieve their full health potential.
In recent years, greater efforts have been invested to develop various initiatives for prevention of cancer and healthy life style promotions. With the development of national programmes, networking of partners, development of information tools and evaluation the Ministry of Health Luxembourg believes that this disease can be prevented.
In 1962, Ministry of Health Luxembourg became full UICC member.
