LIVESTRONG Foundation
Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) is nonprofit organization located in Austin, Texas. Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist, Lance Armstrong, the LAF inspires and empowers people with cancer.
LAF achieves their goals through education, advocacy, public health and research programs. More than $9.6 million granted toward cancer survivorship and testicular cancer research.
LIVESTRONG fights for the 28 million people around the world living with cancer today. There can be – and should be – life after cancer for more people. That's why LIVESTRONG kicks in at the moment of diagnosis, giving people the resources and support they need to fight cancer head-on. LIVESTRONG finds innovative ways to raise awareness, fund research and end the stigma about cancer that many survivors face. LIVESTRONG connects people and communities to drive social change and calls for state, national and world leaders to help fight this
disease. Anyone anywhere can join the fight against cancer at LIVESTRONG.org.
Approximately 55 million people across the globe wear a LIVESTRONG wristband in support of people living with cancer
Since 2005, LAF has been full UICC member.
