The primary aim of the KAO is to promote all activities that help to decrease mortality of Cancer in Republic of Kosovo, by promoting preventive programs, by decreasing the incidence of cancer and particularly of advanced diseases.
Objectives of KAO are:
Promoting the collection and use of information to increase professional and public understanding and education about cancer and its impact on Kosovo citizens
To improve the quality of prevention, diagnosis and treatment, as well as the
follow-up of patients with malignant disorders
To disseminate knowledge to cancer patients and the public in general
To advance the knowledge, science, and practice of oncology
To educate and train persons involved in clinical cancer care
Influencing policies which enable cancer prevention, early detection and state-of-the-art treatments in the Republic of Kosovo.
To promote the equal access for all patients with cancer, regardless of the age, nationality, race, language, religion, insurance status, philosophy or political affiliation.
Organizing periodic meetings and other promotional and educational initiatives related to malignant disorders.
