Korean Cancer Association aims to prevent and control cancer, open conference, meetings and lectures, to issue reports and related publications, to support cancer research, and cooperate with other related societies. The Association morphed out of Korean Cancer Research Association and became the Korean Cancer Association in 1974. They became members of the UICC in 2008
