Korea Association of Health Promotion

Korea Association of Health Promotion (KAHP) was founded to make a contribution to national health promotion. It was founded to give people access to early detection and prevention services against non-infectious chronic degenerative diseases as required by the national health policy. Such preventative services are provided through the execution of an effective pathological examination & treatment, epidemiologic survey, health education and support of national parasite disease project.

KAHP has been effectively promoting health education, medical examination and academic research & survey for early prevention & detection of diseases. It has taken an interest in international collaboration hoping to become a leading organization in the world.

Especially, with the support of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the organization's work rendered great services to parasite control in China through its program since 1995. Based on those activities, KAHP has initiated a knowledgeable parasite control project in 2000 called the "Korea-China 5year's project of parasite control" and "Intestinal parasite control among children in primary school of lao PDR."

KAHP has also been a part of a mutual exchange of parasite control and health promotion documentation with the Josun Medicine Association (North Korea) thus expanding NGO activity to north Korean people.

KAHP became a member of UICC in May, 2008.
