Kanagawa Cancer Centre Research Institute was founded in 1986 as a professionaldiagnotic equipment to research of geratic diseases which is higher in rank of death rate. Whne they started they only had 31 beds for patients. The Centre was created as an affiliated facility of Kanagawa Cancer Centre Hospital.

They emphasize professional diagnosis and inspection. As the centre grew in Cancer Reserch their number of patients increased and the beds jumped to 415.

The Cancer Centre has been full UICC member since 1987.
