Instituto Oncológico Henry Moore

Henry Moore Institute of Oncology was created with the expectation of becoming an institution of reference in Argentina and in Latin America for ambulatory cancer patients, from the organic, psychic and spiritual perspectives.

The institute particularly hopes to address the fact that this process extends to the nuclear family of the patient. Thus, the institute values a concept of care that incorporates scientific knowledge, humanity, and comprehension of patients' needs, valuing the patient's autonomous right to make decisions. The institute takes great care to provide patients with necessary information so that he or she can exercise his or her liberty freely.

Through the application of this multidisciplinary model, the institute has created a harmony of science, experience, and resources which focuses on education, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of tumor illnesses. It tries to carry out all activities with the same criteria: human sensitivity applied to an interactive attention, with the most care possible.

The institute strives to improve scientific knowledge and its academic international standards, being part of evidence-based medicine.

Henry Moore Institute became a UICC member in april 2008.
