The clinic works to increase the early detection of cancer, especially of the stomach and uterus. For this purpose, cancer clinic centres are used as well as traveling clinics with many X-ray cars, biopsy and smear teast cars. Many cancer education forums and pulbic talks are also carried out. Since 1968, Hokkaido Cancer Society has been full UICC member.
