Hellenic Society of Oncology
Hellenic Society of Oncology was founded in 1968 as an independent foundation.
It now has over 350 active members. and continues to develop significant activities in Greece, including the continuation of mass screening programs for early detection of breast and cervical cancer.
They aim to promote oncological studies with a scientific focus. They hold informative seminars for rural doctors, nurses and for the general population on cancer prevention and early detection.
Hellenic Society of Oncology organizes congresses that meet on various topics relating to cancer, along with round table discussions, and other scientific events concerning oncology.
In 1987, Hellenic Society of Oncology became full UICC member.
