Activities: GAVI’s mission is to save children’s lives and protect people’s health by increasing access to immunisation in poor countries. We currently support Hepatitis B vaccine (an additional 267 million children immunised 2000-2010, averting more that 3 million future deaths). GAVI is preparing to support the introduction of human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV) against cervical cancer.
