Fondation contre le Cancer
Fondation Contre le Cancer was founded in 1983 and, with over 500,000 members, is involved with the most active cancer leagues in Europe.
The Foundation is the only humanitarian organization operating against cancer at the national level, within the limits of the federal and regional institutional and taking into account the priorities in health.
The Foundation against Cancer aims to support research, to achieve social actions and conduct information campaigns and health education.
Their mission is to promote and develop the fight against cancer in all its forms, without borders, without distinction of language, religion or race, without philosophical or religious discrimination and apolitical manner. The Foundation receives virtually no subsidy, except for special events or actions.
The Foundation includes all the activities and accounts of the three non-profit organizations: the "work of the Belgian Cancer, the 'Belgian Association against Cancer, and the Federation against Cancer." The annual accounts are audited by an auditor of an individual, for each of the three associations. The same applies to the consolidated figures at the Foundation.
The Foundation became full UICC member in 1990.
