The Ego Bekee Cancer Foundation is a non profit organization put together in memory of our late mother Mrs. Ego Bekee Uwajumogu who died of Cancer at the National Hospital Abuja on September 2, 2006 and was buried on October 28, 2006 at her home town, Ihitte Uboma, Imo State, Nigeria. This, initiative which formally kicked off on the day of her burial was in fulfillment of her desire that we use our contacts to touch the lives of persons living with cancer. This foundation, like a seedling germinated to give this desire a lasting legacy.

Following the enormous work ahead, the foundation has therefore created five departments to facilitate her viz-a-viz:
1. Personnel and Administration
2. Research and Advocacy
3. Network and Communication Unit
4. Guidance and Counseling
5. Social Welfare

Ego Bekee Cancer Foundation became full UICC member in January 2009.
