Centre Régional François Beclesse was established in 1947.

It focuses on the testing, examination, hospitalization and treatment of all diseases but has a Center for Cancer Research. At this center they focus on research on the etiology, prophylaxis, therapy of cancer and palliative care.

Centre Régional François Baclesse became full UICC member in 1970.
