AORTIC (African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer) is an African based non-governmental organisation that is dedicated to the promotion of cancer control and palliation in Africa for over 25 years.

AORTIC's key objectives are to further research relating to cancers prevalent in Africa, facilitate and support training initiatives in oncology for health care workers, create cancer prevention and control programmes, and to raise public awareness of cancer on the continent. Organizing biennial international cancer conferences. Multi-disciplinary workshops in conjunction with ASCO. Formation of cancer specialist, interest groups the purpose of further streamlining research. Placing cancer on the agenda of health ministries and policy makers.

In September of 2008, AORTIC became full UICC member.
