Medical Students March for Against Cancer
World Cancer Day
4th February 2012

On February 4, at 18:00 p.m from Youth Palace in Tbilisi, students’ march will take its start, the final destination will be The Freedom Square. This march is dedicated to the world cancer day 2012. During this march students and members of different non-governmental organizations will distribute informational materials about cancer prevention; it will raise the public awareness about the cancer.

Representatives from the National Screening Center, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Georgia, Survival Women’s Club, Black Sea Countries Coalition on Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention, National Center of Disease Control (NCDC)
and University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center/Seattle Cancer Care Alliance will also join and support the march. At the same time “The World Cancer Declaration” will be promoted to sign through different social media networks.

The aim of this march is to demonstrate youth unity against cancer and to support those who are fighting this disease.
