• An educational conference Health days on cervical cancer prevention was organised by Prof Aurelija Vaitkuviene representative of Vilnius University ECCA institutional member Vilnius University in 5-7 December 2010. In the conference is expecting participation of Minister of Health Mr. R.Sukys and Minister of Education Mr G.Steponavicius and the advisor of the health and education department in the Lithuanian President office and General Director of ECCA Dr Philip Davies. In the conference is expecting about 250 participants from Lithuania, NGOs, health authorities, medical associations and the media.
• The Pearl of Wisdom and brochures will be distributed to all attendees.
• The NGO Soroptimist International organised a meeting to update their members on progress with cervical cancer prevention in Lithuania.
• The fifth Cervical Cancer Prevention Course will be held at Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine and at Kaunas Medical University for healthcare professionals and public health officials.
• Ten regional meetings on cervical cancer prevention is going to be held held for healthcare professionals (paediatricians, general practitioners, gynaecologists) across Lithuania to update their knowledge on cervical cancer prevention.
• An internet campaign was organised to promote the STOP Cervical Cancer Petition and a banner promoting the petition will be placed on the Vilnius University website.
• A promotional event „Skiing for Health‟ is going to be organised with the City of Vilnius and this attracted over 1,000 participants.
• A promotional concert is going to be held at the St Jones Church.
• Numerous copies of the ECCA‟s brochures will be distributed at the various events and lectures held in Lithuania.
• Extensive media coverage is going to be achieved during Prevention Week in the major national newspapers together with numerous stories that were published on the internet.
