• The Prevention Week began with a press conference in Rome. A forth presentation on HPV vaccination showed the need for further public education to encourage the uptake of vaccination and to improve coverage.
• Seminars on cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination will be organized for the general public in Torino, San Remo and Mantova, which will continue throughout the year.
• Educational materials on cervical cancer and HPV vaccination will be distributed in colposcopy and cervical smearsambulatories, in schools, colleges, supermarkets, shopping malls and other public spaces in Milano, Lazio, Campania, Emilia Romagna, and Lombardia.Educational seminars will be held for students in Ferrara, Susa and Piacenza with the distribution of educational materials and literature.
