International Conference on Public Health Priorities in the 21st Century : The Endgame for Tobacco

India will host the International Conference on Public Health Priorities in the 21st Century: The Endgame for Tobacco.

The event is being held with support from national and international partners including:

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India World Health Organization, World Bank, International Development Research Centre (IDRC, Canada), National Institute for Health and Welfare, Finland, Healis Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health, World Heart Federation, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Cancer Institute (NIH, USA) among others being organized by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and HRIDAY (Health Related Information Dissemination Amongst Youth).

The Conference will be held at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi, from September 10-12, 2013.

You will be happy to learn that Dr. Margaret Chan, Director General, World Health Organization has kindly consented to speak at the inaugural session to be held on September 11, 2013.

The Conference will set a stage for the endgame for tobacco and moving towards a tobacco-free world and greater collaboration and regional support for such efforts. An assessment of the progress made towards the goal of endgame will be presented at the 16th World Conference on Tobacco OR Health in Abu Dhabi in 2015.

The conference is offering, scholarships to the deserving papers. The abstract submissions are going to close soon, please submit abstracts at the earliest.
