Fellowships

The Fellowships Programme is a core activity of UICC and currently administers five international fellowships and plays a major role in the Organisation's mission and vision.

The fellowships provide opportunities for professional development for cancer investigators, clinicians, nurses, and cancer society staff and volunteers.

Each year an international review panel of over 500 volunteer experts review applications. Each year this results in over 100 fellowships, to advance, transfer and disseminate cancer knowledge from those who have it to those who need it.

Through the generous financial contributions of a group of UICC member organisations, cancer institutes, voluntary cancer societies, leagues, associations, foundations, as well as governmental agencies and commercial sponsors and the expertise of our volunteer reviewers, to date almost 6,000 health professionals have benefited from UICC fellowships since they were established in 1961.
