Visionary Partner Bristol Myers Squibb marks 4 February with panel webinar and new research

Header Paragraph

Yesterday, World Cancer Day Visionary Partner, Bristol Myers Squibb brought together an expert panel for a live webinar in the lead up to World Cancer Day.

Speaking to a number of advocacy leaders listening in from around the world, the panel included UICC CEO, Cary Adams; Save Your Skin Foundation President and Founder, Kathleen Barnard; The Economist Intelligence Unit Global Editorial Lead, Healthcare, Martin Koehring; and Chief of the Clinical Trial Research Department, OHC, David M. Waterhouse, M.D.

The hour-long webinar, led and moderated by BMS Head, Global Policy, Advocacy & Government Affairs, Amadou Diarra, generated an in-depth discussion on cancer survivorship, with insights on the role of integrated care, case examples of national cancer survivorship programs from around the world and the policy progress needed in supporting cancer survivors.

It was also the occasion to hear about new research on the need for integrated care for cancer survivors from the three perspectives - primary care doctors, patients and policymakers. The research is part of a Bristol-Myers Squibb-sponsored global and multi-pronged research initiative developed with The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) titled Global Cancer Survivorship: The Need for Integrated Care.
