Virtual Dialogue: Landscaping of CSO’s role in HPV vaccination

Recent advances, such as the single-dose recommendation, as well as global commitments, have set a refreshed momentum for driving change in terms of access and scale-up of HPV vaccination. CSOs can play a critical role, particularly as advocates, for the availability, access and demand creation to reach the 90% target of girls vaccinated.

As part of its support towards reaching all three targets of the Global Strategy on the elimination of cervical cancer, UICC is conducting the project “Engaging the cancer community to reach the 90% target for HPV vaccination: landscape of civil society’s role”, to better understand civil society's engagement at the national, regional and global levels for the introduction and scale up of HPV vaccination, with a focus on UICC Members in LMICs,

In this Virtual Dialogue, UICC will be presenting the preliminary findings of the consultation, based on more than 100 responses to a dedicated survey as well as more than 50 key informant interviews. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, add inputs and insights for the co-design of this first report on the role of the cancer CSO community in supporting the uptake and scale up of HPV vaccination in LMICs.
