Virtual Dialogue: Implementing 70:90 – Ensuring scale and sustainability

13 June 2024, 16:00-17:30 Central European Summer Time (click here to convert timezone)

Held in partnership with Jhpiego, this Virtual Dialogue will focus on the key issues involved in ensuring that the 70:90 targets can be achieved nationally in countries  and sustained for the years that follow. Financing is one of the critical enablers highlighted in the Global Strategy for cervical cancer elimination. With initial significant investments from key donors and funders following the call to action of the WHO Director General in 2018, and recent announcements from the Global Forum on the elimination of cervical cancer held in Colombia, this Virtual Dialogue will showcase success stories, inspire action and discuss barriers to financing cervical cancer elimination.

This Virtual Dialogue will bring together both national level stakeholders, as well as key global health actors and donors to explore their role in driving future progress. It will highlight national efforts made to support domestic financing and showcase examples of scale-up that are paving the way towards sustainability. It will also highlight strategies to enhance market access, addressing issues in procurement and pricing, and share a preview on how global funders are working towards sustainability of access to screening and treatment of cervical cancer in the coming years.
