Regional Symposium on Cancer Survivorship 2023

2023 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the HKACS, the longest-running non-profit cancer organisation in Hong Kong since 1963.

With the number of cancer survivors continuing to increase due to the growth and aging of the population as well as advances in early detection and treatment over the globe, HKACS has always been at the forefront of fighting against cancer and is committed to raising awareness about cancer and related issues, as well as supporting those living with cancer, with the goal of improving the quality of life of cancer patients and survivors.  

Thus to bring the topic of "Cancer Survivorship" to another level, HKACS decided to hold the Regional Symposium on Cancer Survivorship, during which international and regional experts will exchange knowledge, experience and learning from each other. The goal is to bring together clinicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, social workers and stakeholders in improving outcomes from the global perspective and the angle from policymakers to building cancer survivorship programme, and implementing best practice models to optimize patient outcomes. At the same time, this Symposium will serve as an invaluable platform advocating the improvement in cancer survivorship services and policies, through discussions from the perspective of global and regional facets.
