Breadcrumb 12,000 km Cycle for Cancer Sunday, 26 May 2024 - 00:00 - Tuesday, 22 October 2024 - 00:00 12,000 km Cycle for Cancer Trans-continental bicycle ride raising funds for cancer research via website and social media. Raising awareness for cancer prevention by any means along the way Based on a cycling event planned across Asia in 2020 (we were liaising with Julia Knudsen at UICC at the time). Unfortunately Covid prevented that event from happening - now planning a similar event for 2024. This is an unsupported 12,000 kilometre bicycle ride which will cross from Eastern China, across Mongolia, Kazhakstan, Krygyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Turkey and Greece. Included in our team is a Doctor from South Africa Dr Catherine Hanauer who is interested in the issues of abnormally high rates of certain types of cancer in Mongolia. Catherine will help co-ordinate this event with cancer organisations along our route. Using this ride as a vehicle for fund raising for Cancer Research via social and mainstream media plus raising awareness for cancer prevention. mongolia_-_athens_plan_2024.pdf Click image to view larger Event Information Organiser Lindsay Gault (via NZ Cancer Society) Date and time Sunday, 26 May 2024 - 00:00 - Tuesday, 22 October 2024 - 00:00 Email ljgault@xtra.co.nz website currently Siberia India for Cancer (but will be revised) Location Lindsay Gault 7 Speranza Avenue Otaki 5512 New Zealand Last update Friday 29 September 2023 Share this page
