500,000 signatures go to the UN Summit on NCDs

UICC and its member organisations collected over 500,000 World Cancer Declaration signatures ahead of the UN Summit on NCDs, sending a powerful cancer message to Heads of State and other participants. 

UICC President, Dr Eduardo Cazap had the privilege of presenting these signatures to the head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr Margaret Chan. The poster represented a strong message from the cancer community for action and change!

We would like to thank all our members for their incredible efforts to collect signatures, and for helping us to ensure that the UN Summit on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) resulted in global commitments that support the delivery of the 11 targets of the World Cancer Declaration by 2020.
