The Declaration Campaign urgently needs your support
One of UICC’s priority actions for 2011 is to gather 1 million signatures for the World Cancer Declaration through the campaign ‘Sign now for a cancer free world’.
Our plan is to present this support on your behalf, to global leaders attending the first UN Summit for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in September. These signatures serve the wider purpose of the meeting, concretely supporting the Cancer Outcomes Statement and in-turn, putting further pressure on governments to implement change.
This is our unique opportunity to reduce the impact of cancer for future generations; by working together we can ensure the world’s leaders clearly understand the significant public support we have for reducing the global cancer burden.
THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS
The Summit is less than 6 months away so we urgently need your help to achieve our target number of signatures by September. It is only with your support that our campaign to pressure leaders to effect change for cancer control will be greatly enhanced.
